Program Expectations

In-Person and Virtual

The KKNA Leadership & Development (L&D) team seeks to provide engaging and impactful programs for all employees' development. It is important to understand that although there is no cost to the employees, there is an impact on the L&D budget. In addition, if you do not attend, and do not cancel prior to the registration close date, it is an opportunity loss for employees who wanted to attend but could not due to the course being full. Please review the expectations below before committing to a program.

Enrollment/Withdraw Expectations

  • Prior to signing up, have a career development conversation with your manager and then select programs that align with your needs.
  • Seats for each course are on a first come, first served basis with a maximum capacity for each program.
  • If a program is full you are encouraged to submit your name to the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you will be notified. By entering the waitlist, it also will help the L&D team determine if there is an additional demand for a program.
  • If you withdraw from a program, please withdraw PRIOR to the registration closing. If you do not withdraw, it will not allow another employee to join in your place. To withdraw please email [email protected].

Prework Expectations

  • Some programs will require prework to be complete to fully engage in the session. Please review the information and take necessary actions.
  • Any prework will be sent to you from the KKNA Learning email address ([email protected]).
  • Depending on the program, the prework could vary from simple to complex readings and/or problems to solve.
  • If the prework requirements are not completed, if possible, an attempt to accommodate the participant will be made. If this cannot be accomplished, then the participant will be asked to leave the program.
  • For virtual attendees: Materials may need to be mailed to you. Please provide your mailing address which will be asked for when enrolling into the program.

Attendance/Engagement Expectations

  • Please show up to the session at least 5 minutes early (for in person and virtual). All start times for the programs are when the delivery of the course begins as we have a time schedule to abide by. By arriving early, it will give the opportunity to address any issues/questions you may be having. It will also give you the opportunity to become familiar with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Having technical issues? Please contact the help desk at:
  • All programs are interactive learning, not lectures. Plan to engage, discuss and participate! If virtually, please be in a place to do so, including having your camera on and able to connect clearly via audio. The virtual sessions will include different engagement features such as breakout rooms, chat, polls, annotation and other apps.

Program Completion and Credit

  • To receive the program completion certificate and credit, participants MUST:
    • Attend the entire program (unless other arrangements are preapproved by Bill Kelley and the L&D team)
    • Must complete and submit a program survey. This survey will be sent after the session is completed.
    • If all requirements are met, participants will receive an email from the KKNA learning email address confirming completion.
